Market Reach is an abstract when it comes to SEO.  The reason is because it is determined by several items, the most impact coming from proximity to other metro’s and the niche’ you are in.

 

For instance, a Local Reach which is designed for someone searching in Tampa, FL, will also reach the metro's of St. Petersburg and Sarasota.  It could reach Orlando and Ft. Myers if you’re fortunate.  This would be plausible if you are a dentist or an attorney. That’s because there are so many listings in that niche’ and so the competition for the SEO rank is very fierce.

 

However, if your niche’ has less contenders for page rank, like a dental assistant training school, than a Local Plan will probably in reality show up for searches all over all cities in the entire state of Florida.
